If there is one thing that every business should build it is a clear customer acquisition system.
The system itself can vary greatly, but knowing where in the real life or digital marketing conversion funnel a customer is determines the life and death of your business.
Once a company understands the triggers that would cause someone to reliably become a customer there is significantly more ability to control the business and have it grow reliably. Having your hand on a spigot that controls the number of customers as well as the type of customers is a powerful feeling.
When I owned the food delivery company, DCSnacks, we could send an email and know how many orders it would generate that evening. While it took a while to get to that point, once we got there, we could impact the orders happening that very hour. It was a powerful feeling.
